Rock Band.....the Price

I found out some new info on Rock Bands price:

In America total price for everything- 2 guitars, drum, mic and game- is £115. In the UK RRP for everything is £240-which is more than an Xbox360 with GTA 4 .

However you can get it for £140 from play.com, minus one guitar. Also, the GH3 guitar will work with Rock band, at least for the 360.

This is absolute crap- why do the UK get the rough end of the deal all the time?

I have noo idea. What I don't get is the exchange rate, its like £1=$1.5, so if it costs like $230 dollars should we get it for £115....we always get screwed.

its to do with numbers sold. america = millions more revenue so a price cut can be made, uk a sdmaller population = cost more for the same profit margin to be met

Just being pedantic, but at the time of writing it is actually £1=$1.981... which is even more!!

lol I was only joking-you don't need to apology. As for boycotting RB I was not gonna buy it anyway. Although I suppose one way to go about it is getting a couple of mates together and making a joint purchase...

Yes its expensive but for what you get i dont think its all that bad, when you look at the level of content available to the us so far, most of which will come this way, the bands that are releasing stuff for it and the sheer fact that at last we have a karaoke game lol, this is one game i have been waiting for with bated breath for a long time,

Just be careful guys, I read that the Guitar Hero guitars 'wont' work with Rock Band.

Activision wouldnt allow it!

what??? that sucks, if not many ppl buy it hopefully the price will drop soon enough, i really want it but im not up for getting screwed by microsoft

Ok guys i have this game now, unfortunately play are idiots and have messed up the insturment pack and dont think it will be here till tuesday ggggrrrrr, so am stuck with just ghII guitar and headset mic which by the way is shite and dont do the job well. But apart from that moaning what a game, good songs i just cant wait for my drum kit to arrive and jam with some of you guys who have it.

Well guys i cannow report as my instruments have arrived, the guitar is nice and shiny and has extra stuff on that gh guitar dont like a little switch which gives you 5 diff wah wah effects on solos and stuff, and five extra buttons at base for unstrummed solos. Then there is the drums, oh my how much fun and may i say as a play the drums a little, i cant see how i cant make drum playing better as it is so similar in what you have to do. This game is great and i had a quick go online as a singer lol im glad the other two failed before i did.
WORTH EVERY PENNY HOWEVER MUCH IT IS and might i say if you have mates round regular you really need the instruments in box edition £99 from play.com
